Rating: Let’s Just Be Friends

Ladies, during beauty week, we received a sample of the Chanel Sublimage Eye Regenerating Eye Cream.  We were giddy and excited and hurriedly tried it.  We were impressed by the results: our rather dark circles under the eyes appeared to become a few shades lighter and our fine lines around the eyes were plumped up.  We were discovering that the sublimage really brightened our under eye area and we were using less concealer than usual.  We were falling in love.  We were getting carried away with the possibilities – an eye cream that actually works?!  And then… we found out the price.  We were crushed.  We cried into our pillows.  Why?  Because at $200 a pop, we knew – we were absolutely certain – that we would NEVER buy this cream.  We can do a lot better than a cream for $200.  We could buy ourselves a decent strand of pearls for that kind of money.  Therefore, we shall remain polite friends with the sublimage.  We shall wave to each other from a distance.  We shall air kiss, and, to my great chagrin, we shall never become intimate!
